1. In the reign of the Ass Kicking Messiah a great
calamity fell upon the land and there was great division among the people, and
the people cried out but the people were not heard.
2. From the bowels of the earth and the depths of the sea, a black crude
gushed forth bringing death and destruction to the birds of the air and the fish
of the sea,
3. And the sea became dark and the air became stale with the stench of
foul vapors.
4. And the Ass Kicking Messiah came to know of this calamity but he heard
not the cry from his people and he did nothing. When help was offered by other
rulers, the Ass Kicking Messiah scoffed and turned it away.
5. And it came to pass that the voices of the people became louder and
louder and the Ass Kicking Messiah came to know that the voices of the people
must be heard.
6. And so it was.
7. And the Ass Kicking Messiah counseled with his
beloved disciples and he came to know that he must travel to a far away shore so
that his eyes could behold the great calamity brought upon the people,.
8. And the Ass Kicking Messiah came to walk along the
shore and his eyes beheld a great calamity, and his eyes beheld the sand that
had turned black and the sea that had turned dark and birds that had perished
and fish and shellfish of every manner and every kind that had perished, and he
was sore dismayed.
9. And the Ass Kicking Messiah spoke unto himself
saying, this is very bad. I must go unto the people and bring them good
news so they do not conspire against me. I must bring them hope.
10. And so it was, in those days of tribulation, that the
Ass Kicking Messiah called forth his beloved disciples in the media and said
unto them, go and tell my people that, verily I say unto you, "things are going
to return to normal".
BULLSHIT!!
BULLSHIT!! What a conspicuous, obvious and colossal lie. Things will
never get back to normal in the
I think not. Does he really believe that money alone can compensate for
the human misery and the irreversible life changes caused by this disaster?
I think not. Does he really believe that any amount of clean-up can
cleanse the gulf waters, the shore line and the marshes of the stain and
contamination of the oil spill? Can he really believe that generations of
shore birds, marine life and coastal plants will ever return to "normal".
I think not,
He cannot white-wash the oil slick that draws ever closer to
costal communities. He cannot dismiss it or ignore it any longer. No
political spin can justify his failure to act early on or his refusal of
advanced technology and equipment offered by the Dutch at the onset of this
disaster. As day 57 draws to a close, the president is scheduled for a
speech from the oval office and there is talk of the White House taking over the
processing of claims against BP. Now isn't that lovely!
